Kenya's Kosgei Wins Rotterdam Marathon

ROTTERDAM, Netherlands Kenya's Japhet Kosgei won the Rotterdam marathon in two hours seven minutes 11 seconds on Sunday. The Italy-based runner pulled away from Spain's Fabian Roncero, last year's winner and pre-race favorite, in the final kilometer for the biggest win of his career. Kosgei took more than 2-1/2 minutes off his previous best. Roncero was second in 2:07:24 with compatriot Julio Rey third in 2:07:38. Tegla Loroupe completed a Kenyan double by winning the women's race in 2:22:49. (Reuter)
